The Observer

I’m a Computer Science student at HELP University and a software developer who learns by shipping. Most of what I know about building software came from making tools I actually use every day: a voice assistant that runs on my desktop, a kanban board tuned for how my brain works, and a study planner that fixes my schedule when life breaks it.

I spent mid-2025 as a frontend intern at Biztory Cloud, shipping features on a live production accounting platform through a Git/Jira PR workflow. Since then I’ve been going deeper across the stack: modern Angular with signals and zoneless change detection, full-stack TypeScript, API and data modeling, and wiring LLMs into apps in ways that are useful rather than decorative.

What I care about: software that feels fast, code that the next person can read, and solving the actual problem instead of the impressive-sounding one.

FrontEnd Developer Intern

Biztory Cloud · Puchong, Malaysia

  • Added a full-width layout toggle to the accounting web app so users could expand content across wider screens, persisting the preference across sessions via local storage.
  • Rebuilt the new-account onboarding flow so registrations landed directly on the current app version instead of the deprecated one, removing a manual migration step for new users.
  • Implemented TIN validation against BRN for customer and supplier e-invoicing records to meet regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Built a line-item classification dropdown across the Sale, Purchase, and Expense modules, and surfaced it directly in the e-invoice view for faster review.
  • Set up and configured an AI support chatbot on Freshdesk for customer-facing deployment, working directly with Freshdesk support to resolve API ticket-creation limitations.
  • Shipped fixes and enhancements through a Git/Jira PR workflow across a 12-week release cycle, incorporating senior developer code review feedback and refactoring to the codebase’s NgRx state pattern.

Vesper

A local-first AI assistant that runs my desktop life

the problem

Voice assistants are cloud-bound and passive, they wait to be asked. I wanted one that runs locally, watches my calendar, email and PRs in the background, can control my PC, and never sends my life to a server.

my role

Solo developer: architecture, speech pipeline, agent tooling, UI, Windows packaging

outcome

What started as a voice assistant is now a proactive daily driver: it manages my calendar, watches my inbox and PRs, and controls my desktop, while the whole speech stack still runs locally.

highlights

  • Wake-word and push-to-talk speech pipeline: local Whisper transcription, Claude Agent SDK for the conversation brain, Chatterbox Turbo voice-cloning TTS with an edge-tts fallback
  • Beyond chat: reads the screen on a hotkey, controls the PC (launch apps, focus windows, media/volume), and manages calendar events, reminders, and deadlines
  • Proactive heartbeat that checks calendar, email, deadlines, PRs, and job alerts in the background
  • Three.js orb UI in its own native window: galaxy HUD with parallax starfield, orbiting status indicators, and a Modules panel for chat, finance, calendar, jobs, and settings
  • Remote access from phone or tablet over Tailscale; packaged as a single windowed Windows executable with models downloading on first run

TaskZen

An ADHD-friendly productivity workspace

the problem

Generic to-do apps assume steady focus and constant energy. ADHD brains need capture-first inboxes, energy tracking, guided routines and gentle nudges, not another list that induces guilt.

my role

Solo developer: product design, state architecture, PWA

outcome

A production-grade PWA backed by a real CI pipeline: 136 unit tests behind a coverage gate, Playwright E2E, and automatic Firebase preview deploys, demonstrating modern Angular architecture end to end.

highlights

  • Zoneless Angular 20 with standalone components and signals, the current edge of the framework
  • NgRx feature slices for every domain: inbox, focus timer, energy log, routines, insights
  • Works fully offline by default; Firestore sync, auth, and Sentry error tracking are all opt-in
  • Pomodoro SVG ring timer, energy trend charts, and a rule-based AI coach
  • 136 unit tests behind a 60% CI coverage gate, plus 3 Playwright E2E journeys, gating every push through lint, audit, build, and automatic Firebase preview deploys

StudyFlow

An AI study planner that repairs its own schedule

the problem

Static study plans die on first contact with reality: one missed session and the whole week is obsolete. Students need a planner that redistributes remaining time automatically.

my role

Solo developer: full stack, from schema design to UI

outcome

My first complete full-stack product, and the project that taught me data modeling, API design, and why scheduling algorithms are harder than they look.

highlights

  • Dynamic Time Redistribution: missed or shifted tasks trigger a priority-weighted rebalance of the remaining schedule
  • AI-assisted schedule generation via an external AI API
  • Progress tracking with visual feedback across subjects and deadlines
  • Full-stack TypeScript: React/Vite frontend against a Node/Express/MongoDB API
